Why are Brazilians living overseas remembering home?

Because the current statistics are a harsh reality.
Did you know that Brazil has more than 10 million people living in hunger right now?

Yes, 10.3 MILLION (source: IGBE) and this situation has only got worse with the impact of COVID-19 in 2020.

This corresponds to half the population of Australia, or the entire population of Portugal.

Together, we can do something to change that.

By feeding one family of four for two weeks
The ultimate goal is to feed at least 1,000 families this Christmas. 

Together, we want to make it possible for more than 4,000 people to end the year with more dignity and without hunger.

All the amount collected through donations will be converted into food hampers in the areas most affected in Brazil.

Meet our team

João da Silva
How the project started?
Emilie da Silva created the campaign and recruited a group of Brazilians in Australia to be part of this project that aims to promote a more dignified and without hunger Christmas for more than 4,000 people in Brazil.

Emilie is a Brazilian and an Australian citizen, and has been a resident in Australia for 15 years. She has participated in social work for over 20 years and in Brazil, she worked on a large number of projects. Her last contribution was to the Educafro project as a volunteer teacher in the Bonsucesso Community, Guarulhos for 5 years.

In Sydney, where she currently lives, she is an Integrative Therapist, Founder of Life & Soul and former Director of the NGO WILL2LIVE, which helps homeless people in Sydney.

  • Juliane Gold

    Sales & Marketing

    Her work outside of the project: Sales & Marketing

    Responsible for managing sponsors and project administration, she has been working as a Business Development Manager in Education for 20 years and also works on Sales and Marketing for Gold Star Pools.
  • Ellen Ribeiro

    Purchasing & Logistics

    Her work outside 
    of the project: National Purchasing Manager for the Prosegur Group

    Ellen is responsible for the shopping and the logistics of the project #lembradecasa.
    Fascinated by the simple things in life, Ellen enjoys being in touch with nature, exercising, sharing good times with friends, her family and her dog.


  • Carol Barbosa

    Social Media Management, Web Developer & Graphic Designer

    Her work outside of the project: Marketing Specialist & Natural Therapist

    Carol Barbosa is responsible for managing, planning & designing our social media channels. Outside the project, she works as a Marketing consultant and as natural therapist. She is also the  founder of GGB Marketing and Holistic Channel.
  • Mariana Rocha

    Social Media Management

    Her work outside of the project: Marketing Specialist


    Mariana has a degree in communication and has worked in digital marketing for over eight years. In Australia, she works as a Social Media Specialist at Nunn Media, supporting clients such as Levis, Bondi Sands and JB Hi-Fi. Outside of work, Mariana likes to wake up at five in the morning to exercise, and keep a healthy lifestyle.
  • Fábio Manzini

    Marketing & Community Engagement

    His work outside of the project: Marketing Manager

    Fábio Manzini is the team member responsible for building and strengthen the #lembradecasa community. Fábio is also the Marketing and Ecommerce manager for Rufus & Coco, Australia's fastest growing and most awarded pet brand. Besides promoting products and services, Fábio is also passionate about running, gardening and collage art on paper (@juxtafab).
  • Leticia Birck

    Videographer

    Her work outside of the project: Director & Videographer at Le Birck Films


    Leticia is responsible for creating all the #lembradecasa videos.
    Her mission is to register lasting memories for her clients’ like 
    weddings, family photos and special celebrations.
  • Gabriel Celuque

    Brand Designer

    His work outside of the project: Graphic Designer

    Responsible for the branding and all the visual identity of the project #lembradecasa. Gabriel was born in Salvador, Brazil, and has been living in Burleigh Heads QLD for over fifteen years. Gabriel is the Director and founder of Hover Creative Studio.
  • Vivian Vasconcellos

    Public Relations

    Her work outside of the project: Content Producer and Holistic Marketing

    Vivian is responsible for the production, strategy and delivery of our mission to the media as well as assisting in communications with the wider public. With more than ten years of experience in Corporate Communication, today she focuses on helping companies in ​​well-being, social responsibility and sustainability.
  • Karen Carqui 

    Sales, Admin and Filters for Instagram

    Her work outside of the project: Sales, Marketing Specialist and Data Analyst

    Responsible for managing donations and partnerships, Karen has experience in Data Analytics, Sales and Digital Marketing. Outside the project she is the founder of Digital.KC.

    Marketing

    Her work outside of the project: Marketing Director


    Livia is responsible for managing sponsors, donations and partnerships in the #lembradecasa project. Marketing Director and one of the founders of Good Day Education, Livia also love spending her free time practising yoga & meditation.



  • Tim Stratford

    Connecting the project to the Australian community

    His work outside of the project: Sales

    Husband to Emilie, Tim is spreading the word to the Aussie community to raise awareness about the current social situation in Brazil. A former semi-professional football player, Tim also likes to advocate about the power of the sport in people's lives.

  • Thaio Tomazetti

    Sales & Marketing

    His work outside of the project: CEO of 2Stay Accommodation Group


    Thaio Tomazetti is the CEO of 2Stay Accommodation Group, the primary accommodation provider for English language schools in Australia. Arriving from Brazil with little English, he created an industry from scratch with his first product, CozzyStay, in 2006. He was driven by a keen eye for gaps in the market and an ability to forge lasting relationships to go on to build 2Stay, which now takes thousands of bookings every year.
